DBICA Loves This Town

We love the feel of Deerfield Beach Island with its small village atmosphere and height cap of 55 feet on all building. We love the small shops and restaurants, our new pier under construction and the makeover of the Wyndham Hotel. It has a completely different feel from our neighboring cities to the north and south, and we like it that way.

Our beach is one of the most beautiful in Florida, with its grass slopes and rock jetties, it’s like no other beach we know. Any day of the week, you will see wedding and model photo shoots on the beach because of our island beauty.

But what really makes our town are the people. Deerfield Beach is alive with interesting characters of all make ups.  Locals and tourists all together in this beach paradise.  We are all different but have a common goal of protecting our island and striving to make improvements

There is a county song by Toby Keith called “I Love This Bar” Some of the lyrics are

We got winners; we got losers’ we got yuppies; we got bikers
We got yuppies, we got bikers
We got thirsty hitchhikers
We got cowboys, we got truckers
Broken-hearted fools and suckers

[Chorus:]
I love this bar
It’s my kind of place
Just walkin’ through the front door
Puts a big smile on my face
It ain’t too far, come as you are
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar

If we were to write a song about Deerfield Beach Island it would go like this

We have Surfers, skateboarders and volleyball players
We have boaters and divers and Para sailors
We have runners and sidewalk walkers.
We have the old and the young with snowbirds and  full timers.
We have early birds  and all-nighters

[Chorus:]
I love this Town
It’s my kind of place
Just walkin’ along the beach
Puts a big smile on my face
It ain’t too far, come as you are
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this town

So knowing that we have a special little jewel here in Deerfield Beach, part of DBICA mission statement as an association is to improve on what we have.

We have started a program named ‘STEP IT UP, DEERFIELD BEACH” Though our interest is east of the intracostal waterway; we want all of Deerfield Beach to be improved. We hope to work with other community and homeowners association in the city in order to spread the word and step it up!

So as part of your association membership, please let us know any issues and concerns you may have on the island. We will try to work with the city to get it done. Also, let us know of any projects and ideas what will improve the island and our standard of living.

Below are some examples of what DBICA has accomplished in our first three years as well as some future projects that have been presented to us.
